Polar Bear Plunge slated Feb. 18 Special Olympics supporters will be taking the plunge next month in an effort to raise funds for Special Olympics.

Britney's had a paparazzo popped with a pellet outside of her baby shower, other have had fender benders while being pursued and their have been catfights and feuds a plenty.  There's been love in Paris (the city, not the home video) and a divorce in Malibu, and a shooting in Miami.

The New York Daily News explores some of this in a cute column titled "How I spent My Summer Vacation."

They explore Maddox Jolie, Dad Brad Pitt, Jude Law, Diddy, Kevin Federline, Katie Holmes, Mary-Kate Olsen, Tara Reid, and Jennifer Aniston and give a good look at how some of the rich and famous spent their summers.

Need a summer vacation taste:

I say, no wonder we packed off the Puritans to the American Colonies in 1624. Look at all this fuss over a little rumpy-pumpy with Daisy! Nanny-shagging has been a proud tradition in my country for hundreds of years. That's why they're called "help." Now, Sienna's being such a girl about it and I have to endure all these dreary "Alfie" and Gigolo Joe jokes in the tabloid media.

And have you seen the new battle-ax my ex hired to mind the kids? I swear, for next summer's vacation, I'll be "doing humanitarian work" in Africa, like Brad and Angelina.
